    Hungry EASY, Yummy Pot Roast

    Advertisements
I've had good pot roast before but this recipe is just delicious. It came out perfect and is getting printed and put in my recipe box right now.

    Ingredients

    • 3 pounds beef roast
    • 6 potatoes
    • 1 1/2 cups baby carrots
    • 1 yellow onion
    • 2 stalks celery
    • 3 cubes beef bouillon
    • 1/2 cup water

    Directions

    1. Cut up potatoes, onions, and celery in to fairly large chunks and place in a slow cooker. Put roast on top of vegetables. Place 3 bouillon cubes randomly on top of roast and pour in water.
    2. Cover, and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or High for 4 to 5 hours.

The only changes I made were that I omitted the onion (because we didn't have one) and I let it rest before serving it. I used the "4-5 hours on High" setting.

I got the recipe here. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easiest...er/Detail.aspx
It will even let you change the recipe according to servings.

Idk what they're called officially. Just regular old brown potatoes. I didn't really measure the potatoes or carrots either. I just sort of put what looked good.

We almost go those but they're just so much more expensive. I just made a layer of potatoes to cover the bottom, then sprinkled baby carrots, and then the celery.

I wish we would have had mushrooms. I think they would have been really good in it.

I'm going to try this. Once DB gets home, I really want to make use of the crock pot.

I also slice about 6 holes in the beef and stick 6 pieces of garlic cloves into each opening. Garlic is AMAZING in pot roast!

I agree I was gonna say the same thing. It looks good but I would add seasoning mostly garlic .
