Slow cooker ???
Is a slow cooker the same as a crock pot?
I've never owned one till this past weekend. I honestly always though having to cook dinner for HOURS wasn't a good idea to me. I kinda still don't like the idea of having that thing on for hours but tell me what does it do to make it worth it? What are some of your absolute fave recipes? |

I looove my crock pot ( and yes they are the same thing) the good thing about it is you can do it in the am and it will be ready by dinner time. it makes your roasts sooo tender and juicy they just fall apart.
you can make just about anything in there. I love to make ribs because I'm not that handy with a grill. so I prefer to do it via crockpot. Baked potatoes too.

I love my crock pot! I love that I can pretty much just dump everything in there, turn it on and leave it.
I really need more recipes for it though and with ours I used crock pot liners because it makes cleaning up a ton easier.

I LOVE my crockpot. I make tons of different things in there. I use the site
www.easycrockpotrecipes.com all the time. And sometimes I just experiment. I made buffalo hot wings in there once and DH fell in love with them. The meat seriously just fell off the bone. |

seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, etc), ground beef or turkey, tomato paste, canned tomato sauce (enough for your family) or tomato sauce in a jar, italian sausage (sweet or mild or spicy), a couple splashes of red wine and cooking it all day nice and slow
