Amazing Pot Roast
This is the BEST pot roast recipe I've ever had.
pot roast, about 2-3 inches thick, with excess fat trimmed off 1 package dry onion soup mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 soup can water 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 can mushroom pieces, drained (optional) Place pot roast flat in the crockpot. In a medium bowl, mix the soups, water, seasonings and mushrooms (if desired) together, and pour over the meat. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4-6 hours. If you're careful about the fat and can use a turkey baster to suck off any excess just before serving, you can use the sauce as a gravy (which is really good over mashed potatoes) This roast is really good and moist, and the leftovers (if there are any!) can easily be spiced up to use in nachos or enchiladas. |

Sounds delicious! That's almost how we make ours. I've never put the cream of mushroom soup in it, but I'm going to do that next time!
I love cream of mushroom soup!
