    Digital camera recommendations?

    Advertisements
I need a new digital camera for my Europe trip. I have an old 8MP one that I've owned for about five years and lost the cord to. Instead of buying a new cord, I might as well upgrade. It is important to me to have awesome photos from this trip.

So, give me your suggestions! It needs to be small, lightweight, portable, all that, and either have a wrist strap or a spot to attach one. 12MP preferred.

I would like to keep it under $150, but anything over isn't automatically ruled out.

Nikon Coolpix looks like a decent, cheap option. Does anyone have one?

I have the L100 or something like that. With the external lens. I like it well enough. It takes good pictures. I may splurge on a nicer camera if I have the money down the line to take pictures in Japan.

My Nikon D5000 is my best friend I love it! However it's pretty spendy.

Powershoot Cannons however run in that range and are great point and shoot cameras.

DH says go to amazon.com look in the camera section you want (like I am assuming you are looking for a small point and shoot) and pick one of the top 10 bestselling. He's a huge geek and knows what he's talking about

I love my nikon coolpix. I accidentally dropped it once and they repaired it for free its an "s" series I think? I can't remember, but that sounds the most right.

We have the canon powershoot elph 300 HS and we love it. It takes outstanding pictures, it was 250 but seriously worth it.

I have the Coolpix s8100 but it was well over $150. My mom has a couple of models cheaper of the same camera though and she loves hers! I think they are GREAT cameras.

I have a coolpix and I LOVE it. So does my momma and FMIL and they seems to really like it too. DF has an easy share and I'm not a fan of it, personally.
