    raffles

I've heard raffles are a big no-no due to being considered gambling. Is this just for -50-50 raffles or for all? If you give tickets to all participants to the event, it would not be considered a raffle would it be?
If so, can those who want to buy more tickets still do so? Where can I find this AR?

In Virginia they are a no-no, but we just call them drawings and that changes everything per Fleet and Family Services.

You can do "door prizes." Everyone has to have an equal chance at winning, so no purchasing of extra tickets.

I know this is an old post -- but I know it's only considered gambling here if it's on base, but other than that --- you can do money "drawings" or "raffles" anywhere off of base...
