    So, I thought I resigned from being Ombudsman...

    But it just didn't take.
    They didn't find a new one right away, and I kept answering the phone, checking the email, etc.
    The CO called last night and asked me to stay on at least until the Homeport Change is done, and I agreed.

    At least I got to pretend for a little while right?

    And maybe I'll be able to get a good job recommendation out of it for Hawaii. By the time the move is complete for everyone, I'll have been doing it for well over a year, so maybe that will help my resume.

    I hope this homeport change goes smoothly!!!

    Where are you homeport changing to/from? I'm in San Diego and we are in the process of donig the huge homeport change from Texas!

    Good luck with that. We did it from VA to NH and depending on how much the families and guys took care of ahead of time, it was a nightmare. Once the boat physically left for the move, things settled down a little bit.
