    Rescued pit-mix; update post 33...

    UPDATE ON POST 33

She is SO loving that it is breaking my heart! I want to keep her but my DH is NOT having it. She is timid and scared at first but NOT AT ALL aggressive. She has some wounds but she doesn't snap or growl when you touch her or pick her up. We found her at an intersection. Now that she is in our yard, she just wants love. My dogs barked at her through the door and she just got timid and worried, she didn't raise her fur or anything. I took the boys out there and she just started licking their hands and wagging her tail.

She seems pretty young. Her eyes are clear and her fur has the puppy like softness. She doesn't appear "unhealthy" in any way except where she has been hurt. SHe just needs to be patched up!

DH just cleaned her wounds and poured peroxide on an open and fresh one on her side and all she did was whimper a little and lick where he was cleaning her!

She is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing, so the plumbing works!

I found her at an intersection in Killeen. We have her here on Ft. Hood.

I WANT TO KEEP HER SO BADLY and I can't (we already have two cats and two dogs and a snake and DH is NOT bending)...

Anyway, if you know anyone interested, please call me at 254.213.1101:

She is really special. She is so beat up BUT still so loving and gentle. You know how some beat up dogs are snappy/mean when scared? She isn't. She is timid and scared and tries to get you to love her when she is scared.

I rescued my beagle buddy Eddie and I wish I could rescue every abused puppers! I HATE that this complex is one that restricts by breed. I love pits, they are so silly and fun and LOVING.

Look! A vicious killing machine! RUN!

That's Riker, one of our familie's pits. He's just about the most confused and ridiculous dog ever. He acts like he can't hear you when he doesn't want to. He's old and knows he can get away with it. You know he's faking cause he'll look the complete opposite direction.

    Sorry, didn't mean to threadjack...

I wish I could take the pit you have up for adoption
