Hi all!
So I work for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and this Friday, October 6, 2017 at 7:30pm, we are holding a concert at the TCC Roper Center for the Performing Arts. This particular concert is called Voices of Veterans. We are offering free tickets to active duty and reserve members, veterans, and their families and friends to say a huge, huge thank you for the sacrifices that you all make every single day.
You can go on our website, enter the promo code Voices, and scroll down to the bottom to select up to 10 complimentary tickets. If you have any question or concerns, or would like to receive more than 10 complimentary tickets, you can our box office number: 757-892-6366. Unless I'm busy or done with my shift (I work from 10am to 2pm every single day), you'll be speaking directly to me (Beverly)! I'll be happy to give you as many as you like.
A little bit about Voices of Veterans:
Hopefully some of you who are in the Hampton Roads Area will be able to come, because it is going to be a really beautiful, moving program.Voices of Veterans will feature the work of composers and artists who used their creativity to process their own experiences of war, and will include engaging community conversations about the challenges armed forces personnel and their families face, both in the line of duty and in their civilian lives. Through themes ranging from isolation, fear, and trauma to pride, valor, and brotherhood, the program uses music to explore aspects of military service that are often hard to put into words.
Benjamin Rous, conductor
Lieutenant Robert J. “Seph” Coats, guest conductor
Brandon Morales, baritone voice
Have a wonderful day!
Beverly
