    Do you guys know?
For those of you who have been on here a year.... guys, it's been a year since my last drink.

I have been sober for one year.

Thank God. I know the forum isn't very active anymore, but you guys helped me a lot those first couple months. I love you all for it. I wish I could tell you all how awesome life is now. We are in San Diego, I'm going to school for a career that will help other people and doing it in a way I NEVER imagined possible. I don't know if I can say the PTSD is healed, but it sure as hell isn't as bad as when I was drinking two four lokos a night. I also don't have to steal from my kids' piggy banks to pay for those, we are pretty broke, but we are so much better off than we were. We are so much better than we were..... man.

I'm so flippin' thankful. God is good.

I read somewhere.... there are two statistics, I get them mixed up.... one is 5% and one is 15%. One of them is the percentage of people who walk into AA and get sober. The other is the percentage of people who start the steps in AA and make it past the fourth step (the inventory of allllll the crappy things you have ever done (my list was long!)). Guys, I'm on my ninth step. Making amends, and the only one I have left is dh who I have been putting off just because he just got back from deployment and I didn't want to do it over his POM, we were busy. With other.... things....

I'm so happy. Love you guys. I know it's super cheesy, and I know nobody checks this anymore, but I'm absolutely grateful for you guys and all the support I got while getting my act together.

    P.S.
I get my chip on Friday I'll post a picture of it and all it's glory then. Which is good because I think I lost my nine month chip on the soccer field by dh's ship while I was running around with the kids trying to wait for him to get off work....
