gummy bears
Have you ever heard of Haribo gummy bears? They are my db's second love. (I didn't move into first until the 6 month of our relationship.) Db's first call home came recently and he expressed to me how much he missed me. And then THEY were brought up. Is it sad that sometimes I get jealous of the way he
over them? All kidding aside, I told him that they would melt but he doesn't care. So what I'm thinking now is if I separate them into flavors, repackage them and then wrap each package seperatly with cling wrap, and then aluminum foil, I should be good, right? Once again, I realize that it's crazy but what can I say? Last edited by rachaelandyogi; 08-31-2007 at 05:49 AM. |

I hadn't heard of them until a class I was teaching had an exchange student. He had the "real" ones- which are hard compared to the US version of them.
I just did a search for them- Amazon.com has them. I wonder if they can ship them to him directly & save you the pain of packing & being worried about melting. http://www.amazon.com/Haribo-Gummi-O...8561685&sr=1-3 |

I have seen them in grocery stores here, I didn't realize they were hard to find. The commissary here has them, and I'm pretty sure I have seen them at Walmart and other places too.
My son loves gummy bears, so we have them in the house from time to time. In fact, now I am kind of craving them.

They are my DH's FAVORITE!
I have a package of them waiting for when he gets home. And, if you do end up going to all that trouble, I hope he knows how lucky he is.

There's a HUGE difference between the ones they sell here in the States and the REAl German ones.
Try www.german-deli.com for the real kind. They are the only kind I'll eat. The American ones taste nasty IMO. lol
