okay so I was going to send my future SO a care package in Iraq and the postage is EXPENSIVE!!! ![]() ![]() Does anyone know any lil secrets you can give me about making it cheaper?! Thanks for ANY suggestions!!!!!

i wish i knew some tricks!! i usually just stuff everything into the tightest box possible and fill the open spaces with tissue paper. also, if youre sending him anything in a box, i would take it out of the box and put it in a plastic bag.. thats what i do anyway, dont know how much $$$ it saves though

Get a bunch of flate rate boxes, here they are like 8 something. The boxes are small but if you pack things right you can fit a ton of things in there!!

You can also call USPS and tell them you have a SO in the military and they will send you free shipping supplies.
I'll find the 1-800 for you.

Definitely flat rate boxes....alot of times its even cheaper to send two flat rate boxes instead of one majorly big box if you can't fit everything in one box....... I send hubby at least one package a week, and have only on a couple occasions used a box other than the flat rate..
