Help ***IS IT NORMAL TO RECEIVE PACKAGES FROM YOUR SO'S SHIP?*****

    Advertisements
My DB wants to send me stuff he has already gotten me but is slightly nervous that something would happen to it and not get to me. I told him that if that were an issue then no one would send packages. SO my question is, Is it a normal thing to receive packages from your SO's ship and has anyone gotten packages before?

    Thanks!

lolo81 my DH isn't on a ship. He's in Afghanistan and sends packages home. It seems to take a little longer to get to me than my cp take to get to him. But, all in all, we haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood). I'm sorry, we aren't Navy and I have no clue about sending things from the ship. I would think it would be okay though.

Yep, they can mail from the ship. In my experience, it's pretty normal. I've always gotten whatever what sent home.

    Um.. I would be careful.

DH sent me a birthday card from the ship... for my birthday in August... I got it...in December. Envelope totally beaten up and almost falling apart.

I am sure it was just a fluke...

DF isn't in the navy, but he sent me a b'day package & it arrived a little beat up looking, but I'm sure the contents are fine.
