    Question waffle making extravaganza cp

    Advertisements
    hi everyone,

I haven't been here in over a year so I do thank you in advance for any advice.
My friend (just a friend, old friend, nothing romantic ) asked for something to cheer up his unit. So, since carbs are always a nice insulin inducing way, I thought of sending him an electric waffle maker, mixes and toppings along with chefs hat. He loves feeding his Soldiers and will done the chefs hat on again.
If anyone can suggest additional items that would be great:
This is what I have come up with so far:

    - electric waffle maker
    - 5 boxes of waffle mix (just add water kind)
    - spray oil - can we send PAM? I don't know if we can now or not, it's aerosol bottle, so someone please let me know
    - instant whip cream mix - just add water kind
    - chocolate, strawberry, caramel syrups +maple syrup
    -strawberry, apple/cinnamon, blueberry topings/pie filing
    -nutella
    -peanut butter
    -powder sugar
-large mixing bowl, whisk and a small laddle to pour the batter

    Anything else?
    Am I missing something?

Also what Brand would be best?

    Thank you in advance.

Where is he located? Is he even allowed to have small appliances that could cause a fire? Make sure you check with him on that before sending anything, and also confirm that he is on 110 volt power.

You can not send aerosol cans in the mail.

I would definitely find out if he's allowed to have appliances. You wont be able to send PAM or any other type of non-stick spray that comes in a can so I would probably just send a small bottle of vegetable oil & some paper towels.

I asked him about sending the electric waffle maker and mixes - he didn't say he can't have it. He has his laptop and what not. I will double check. The PAM I didn't think we could send, but thought I check again - I think maybe an oil bottle and maybe a spray oil bottle as applicator? I want this cook off to actually succeed lol.

anyone can suggest a really good mix - I can only think of Aunt Jemima add water only pancake mix.

A laptop isn't the same as appliances. Have him check with someone.

i know there are a lot of "add water and shake" plastic containers of pancake mix at the grocery store. they have little pouches with different flavors too (funfetti, choc chip, etc) as well. i stock them at home bc i like pancakes and DH doesnt really so i make small batches lol

but def ask about if he can have appliances like that before sending anythign that could get him in trouble

I think maybe she meant in terms of voltage/outlet required.

Really wish I had some flour... I want waffles!

Yes, as far as rules, something that can potentially start a fire is different than a laptop. It may still be allowed, but just because one is doesn't mean anything else with a plug is allowed as well. Think os dorm rules rules, where you can often have a computer but not a hot plate.

For the record, a laptop could catch fire. Mine did in college. Well, the charger actually. It was a little fire. Okay, more like a spark. But it totally freaked me out.
