    tobacco products?

    Advertisements
can you send tobacco products to deployed soldiers? I've seen some things online that said it's illegal and others that say it's not. DB wants me to send him cigarettes and dip and he just left a few weeks ago so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to send things like that. He told me to just do it anyways but I'd rather know if it's something that can get either one of us in trouble

I sent my husband cigars when he was deployed and he also ordered cigars from a website and they delivered to his APO address. However, he's been home for about a year now and I don't know if the rules have changed.

DH says you can. His mom sent him a log of dip in everyone of her care packages at least. Be sure to freeze it before it goes.

We always sent a log of dip in the care packages to my oldest 3 kids dad. That was just in 2011.

I had the post office tell me I couldn't send tobacco once. It was the one had used almost the whole deployment. I asked to see the regulation and then they saw APO/FPO is excluded from the regulation.
