those are called "americans" and are really popular here in germany.
so dh fell in love with those baked yummy goods since he's been to germany and now i wanna bake a bunch of them and send him some in his next carepackage.
do you think they would make it there without getting moldy? boxes normally take 7-10 days to get there.

Umm all of the ingredients are in German, so it is hard for me to estimate if it would go bad.

margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, eggs, pudding powder, milk, flour, baking powder, and chocolate or sugar glaze for the topping... what do you think?

pack the glaze separately and have him put it on, but they have the same ingredients as a cookie so they should make it

It should be fine as long as you put it in an airtight container. Put the glaze in a separate container. To keep them from keeping stale/hard, put a slice of bread in the container with them

    be cool.

hmm i don't really know but i just googled it and someone said after the world war the americans, that were stationed in germany, wanted a baked good that tasted just like something from their home, so the germans invented the "americans" which only needed basic ingredients that weren't rare after the war. the shape of them is supposed to look like their helmets. but i don't know if that's true lol
