Thanksgiving care package...Video help
Since DB has been back after R&R him and his bro's moral is so low they arent even themselves. Im thinking for thanksgiving of making a video with clips of all his family/friends saying what it means that they are over there and how we are thankful for them. I just want them to know how much they are supported and what they are doing has purpose. I'm also gonna add family photos and of his father, uncles and grandpa who all served as well.
For those who have made videos in the past, what program do you use and anyone have any song suggestions? Do you post to youtube or send a DVD? It takes them forever to get stuff on youtube though so I want to be able to send it to them I think.

i did this for my DB's birthday!! i burned the video to a disc and sent that, his access to computer is basically non-existent, and even if he could get to one, youtube takes forever to load on their crappy connections.
i did put a copy on youtube so the people who contributed could see it easily though. i have a mac, so i just used imovie. its really simple, and i love it. if you have a PC, i'm not sure what programs are out there hopefully someone else here does though! good luck, i'm sure he'll LOVE the finished product, mine did for sure.

Are you making a video...or like a slide show with a bunch of pictures. If your making a slide show of sorts you can use Windows DVD Maker.
If your making a video I suggest using Windows Movie Maker. |

I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate to make my videos - whether its just slideshows or editing actual video footage. It's kind of a pricey program but I think they have free trial versions. I love it!
Also, I would burn a copy - thats what I'll be doing for DH but if you put it online, I'd try Vimeo instead of youtube. You can put longer videos up and it tends to be faster loading from what we've experienced. |
