Almost there care package...ideas?? - Care Packages

With DH's deployment so soon to be over, I want to send him an "Almost There" care package.

We are in SD - so I was thinking, beach-y things, holiday movies to get him in the holiday mood, some holiday themed items because I decorate starting Thanksgiving, Apple cider to anticipate the celebration

....

And then I am at a loss....

anyone have any good ideas??

I think the holiday idea would be great! I am sure that would make it easier for him to get into the holiday spirit and getting ready to come home. I hope these ideas help out a little!

"Thanksgiving in a box"
turkey spam
cans for veggies
can of cranberry
Paper Plates
cups
Thanksgiving decorations from the dollar stores
cute paper pumpkins from Halloween
something special to cheer them up(pictures from home, cards the kids make them,
video recorded tape of the family, small scrapbook, special CD of songs that mean something to your family)

Or a Day at the Beach
DAY AT THE BEACH: sunscreen, beach towel, beach snacks, flip flop sandals(extra shower shoes), aloe vera gel

Walmart has microwaveable Turkey and Stuffing dinners that do not have to be refrigerated. I think it sounds better than turkey spam, but that's a good idea too, if your SO likes it :-)

What are your favorite places to eat in town or things that you like to do here? maybe put some of those menu's in there or brochures about places that you want to go when he gets back?
