Because it wouldn't all fit. The laptop was too big (like 20' i think) and his xbox wouldn't fit..

and we had to insure it.

She might have. It might have just went over the weight restriction. When I go to the UPS office they weight it if it seems a little heavy because I usually pack mine full and with decently heavy things (luckily I've never went over.)

I am pretty sure the weight is like 70 lbs. And I know that I could fit a laptop, and x box in a large flat rate box. Not together, but in two. That sucks though, Sorry OP.

How much is your weight limit? I sent a box that was 25 lbs and had no issues at the PO yesterday... that's the heaviest I've sent so far. I couldn't believe it was 25lbs.

And that's insane. I mailed a huge 5 foot long foot locker that was 52lbs and it only cost $60.

The weight limit is about 20 a believe... I could be wrong though, or it might just be that I use UPS instead of going across town to USPS, and their prices are about 5 buck more as it is.

I would have used two boxes as well... you probably didn't even think of that though I have those moments too

nvm, the 20 is for regular flat rate, APO/FPO is 70. Good thing this thread came up, I would have gotten screwed

Yes, but she insured it. I'm sure that's a fair amount of money?

Felisha, I hope you have the sales receipts for those items. The insurance will pay out only if you have them as proof of purchase.

I know it sucks but it's easy to send a package, say that I had a diamond ring in there worth $5000 and insure it and then claim that the ring wasn't there when the package arrived.

I do hope it all gets to him safely!!! I refuse to mail expensive things that are targets for theft; I'm chicken! LOL!
