    ahhh...sending energy drinks!

    Advertisements
I am sooo nervous. I found out that 4 of those 4 packs of Amps energy drink packs fit perfectly into a large flatrate box. But I am SO nervous about shipping it. I lined the box with bubble wrap, but I am scared that the cans will break and make a mess!

Has anyone had any negative experience sending drinks?

Also, can I put on the customs form that it's energy drinks?

I've sent DB pop before in bottles, but I've never tried the cans. I was more worried about the pressure making them explode more than anything. And as for the customs form, they won't care. It's not an unauthorized item. When they ask if there are any liquids, just tell them that you have drinks in there. I would try sending just one, maybe wrapped in a plastic baggie to see how it goes. If that one makes it then you should be good to go.

I've sent monsters in the can. I had no issues but I would wrap them in a plastic bag just in case.

Ive sent drinks a few times only had one explode. Just make sure they are all individually wrapped in their own bag just in case. And no dont put anything referring to liquids on customs forms as they may get sent back. Stick with the vague "snacks"

I jsut looked it up on the USPS website, and this is what it said regarding liquids...

Some things cannot be mailed or can be mailed only in small quantities for safety and legal reasons. Some items have restrictions on how they can be mailed, including:

    Aerosol cans
    Firearms
    Flammable materials
    Liquids and powders
    Lottery Tickets
    Poisons

I've sent liquids before and declared it on the customs form, so I know that its alright. I filled an entire medium sized box with 6 or 8 bottles of Mt. Dew. All they said was that if they exploded or broke they weren't responsible. If you're worried you can always lable it differently, but on that same token it could delay it getting to him if they open it and inspect it since its not on the form.

When I was A/D, I got a six pack of Dr. Pepper in the mail but only two of them made it. The rest had exploded, I'm assuming from a non pressurized cargo hold somewhere along the line. Which is why when I send anything liquid, I double bag it in ziploc bags, to try to minimize the mess if they explode.
