    Do you decorate... ?!

    Advertisements
Do you decorate your car packages, with themes and all that fun Jazz

I helped put on a baby shower yesterday for another navy wife. Everyone at the party was a navy wife. The topic of Carepackages came up and one of my close friends asked if they just threw things in a box, cauz I was talking earlier that day how I was have a theme and I like to make it fun for myself. And all the wives were like I just throw the crap they ask for in there. When they heard I decorate mine they were like

So I was wondering what do y'all do?

In the poll I meant for it to say deployment I don't know how to fit it though.

Nope. I don't decorate - because frankly, DB doesn't care what the package looks like, he's not going to keep it. It's just going to be flattened and burned. It's what is inside that counts. Now, for the holidays, I wrapped the stuff inside in wrapping paper, but I hvaen't and don't plan on decorating the boxes.

I decorated DH's boxes when he was deployed. I think it's fun. His buddies were always impressed with his decorated boxes. For Valentine's, I lined the whole inside of the box with wrapping paper and then decorated with stickers. His buddies thought I had gotten it professionally done.

That is really an awesome idea, never thought to do that. Thanks for the idea!

We draw things on the outside of the box, the kids do with sayings and pictures. That is about the extent of our decorating in a box. But now I'm going to try something new,the idea above.

Yep, I decorated every single one with a theme- and then the stuff inside matched that theme. Thats the ONLY thing I miss now that his deployment is winding down!

I haven't decorated one. Sometimes I'll write a note and tape it to the inside of one of the flaps. I usually just fit as much stuff as I can with a letter explaining it or I tape post-its to each item with a little saying/joke/explanation.
