    Congratulations Daddy, care package

    Advertisements
I'm due at the end of October, and would like to send off a big "congrats!" care package to DB when the little one arrives. Anyone have some cute ideas?

So far, I know I'm going to include:

    A Father's Legacy book
A dog tag with baby's picture
And a little photo album of newborn photos

    * Footprint kit/frame
    * Why a son needs a dad book

    Ideas, please?

If you don't mind, maybe someone can record the birth or the first few minutes afterwards for him. Maybe you can send a hand or footprint. Sorry I'm no help. Good luck and congratulations!

I think hand and foot prints is a really cute idea... and maybe after you are both cleaned up a little video of you and the baby together. I'd also include a little pair of booties in the color (boy/girl), but that's cause I'm a little bit of a dork.
Are you a parent? Ask me how you can help out with my thesis!!

a Daddy shirt. lots and lots of pictures, CD with baby crying on it, video message from baby to daddy, a what to expect in the first year book. a bottle of like hard candy, for how many days he has left. the book from target Why a Daughter/Son needs his/her daddy.
congrats card. a little pillow or blanket or small plaque with all of baby's stats on it. a CD of baby music, (if you plan on playing music for baby while he/she is sleeping) so he can sleep to the same music.

thats all I can think of for now.

whats your due date? I am due end of Oct also

paige does have some really cuuute ideas!!

you could also get the people in the hospital with you to write notes to your DH about the birth and the baby's first couple of days... so he could hear about it in other people's words too.

If you don't mind parting with it.. maybe the lil hat, mittens, blanket.. whatever the hospital gives them. So that he can have a piece of the experience

Well, I have homebirths with my kids, so no hospital stuff. But I could always send a cute baby blanket/booties/hat anyways.
