I used the flat rate from the post office. You can order a military kit I forgot the number but its free. You can prob google it. It comes with various flat rate boxes, tape, and labels. I only listed general stuff like "snacks", magazines, cards etc...haven't seen the new forms yet. I never put any big ticket items like webcams or anything I was afraid they would get stolen

I don't ever write items on the forms. No matter what is in there I put "Snacks, cards" and thats it. When it asks for total $$ I only put $20.00. If you are specific you run the risk of people stealing the boxes. And the forms take me about a minute to fill out. They are easy. You can get the boxes on www.USPS.com they send them to you for free or just grab them at the post office.

thanks ladies! When i was at the PO they had new customs forms though and the lady was saying how they are so much different than the old ones and they want me to be more specific. Also, how do you put their APO address on the form? It doesnt give you the right room?

I just put it on there. I don't fill it in the spaces. I just sent boxes today and have not seen a new form. I will never be specific and if someone were asking me to be I would go to another post office.
