    Helium Balloons

    Advertisements
    Hello lovely ladies!

So I was thinking about doing the care package idea of putting a pair of sexy undies tied to a helium balloon then putting it in a box so when he opens it it floats up in front of him... it's our 1 year anniversary next month but also right before he comes home so I don't wanna send him too much stuff--

sorry long way to get to my question-- has anyone done this?! How long does the helium last?

It'd be kinda sad if he got the package opened it and the balloon was totally deflated... it'd just look weird!

Any suggestions/advice/etc would be great!!! TIA

I've never done this (at least not yet.)

But here are a few things.... I've had helium balloons that have been given to me last up to two weeks. Of course towards the end of that time I don't think the balloon would have had enough air to be able to float with something attached to it. How long do your packages normally take to get to him? When you are purchasing the balloon you can always ask them to inflate it very well and I've heard of a type of helium balloon that is supposed to last longer then the standard helium balloon. Maybe you can find some of those.

Good luck with planning this box, it sounds like a great idea!!
True strength is being able to hold it all together... when no one would blame you for falling apart.

Unfortunately, I think the changes in temperature while it was in transit would deflate the balloon. It's a creative idea though, but I don't think it would work

Another thing to think about is whether he'd be alright with that or not. DB is very private and I know that he'd kill me if I did something like that!

what a freaking cute idea!! haha! DB would think it was hilarious if I did something like that, even though he's pretty private too... i think the other girls are right though, i'm pretty sure it would deflate by the time it got to him. And that would look really funny if the balloon was deflated lol!
after a year in the desert...
    he's HOME with me!

hmmm yea you are probably all right and it would deflate and i'm not sure it'd be cute at all to have a cute pair of undies tied to a deflated balloon!! haha!

Thanks for all the advice!!! I really appreciate it!!! Back to the drawing board!!!!

Deflated or in bits. Helium expands with heat and I remember many of my birthday balloons exploding during the day (I am a July baby).

Also pressure differences in the cargo plane will cause it to expand or shrink (can't remember which one). Even if it's pressurized, there will still be some pressure differences. That is a really cute idea. I wish it would work.
