    Yes. You can make it in glass jars (like jelly jars) and then mail a tub of frosting.

    I'll look for the recipe.

    Oh my god that is GREAT! So I can make him yellow cake and send it with a jar of chocolate frosting... thats his FAVORITE!

    So, is it already cooked, do you just, like, scoop it out?

    You bake it in the mason jar, and put the tin lid on it when you take it out of the oven so that it seals itself and won't spoil, if I remember correctly.

    That cake in a jar sounds like botulism just waiting to happen.

    Could you maybe buy a boxed cake, or little debbie cupcakes and send those?
