    Adopting a soldier

    Advertisements
I've googled and come across many organizations for adopting a soldier but wanted to hear from people who have already done it.

Due to the economy (I was laid off and still haven't found a job) my resources are somewhat limited. I can't afford a lot but I can afford to send a package every other month or so.

Does anyone have a program they'd recommend? One to stay away from?

Would it be better to just ask my boyfriend for a soldier in his group that needs a little extra support?

(also not sure if this is the place to ask)

    TIA

i've sent many care packages to soldiers off of www.anysoldier.com i still keep in touch with one of the guys i sent one too.. & i sent that probably in Feb or March.

you pick what military branch & person you want.. & they can list things about their unit and things they need.. but you can just sent enough for one person if you want

I find it sad you would have been weirded out by getting a female soldier. I hope you weren't looking to meet a man through them...

I also adopted two soldiers through them LUCK would have it one was female, she is an amazing woman who appriciated EVERYTHING I sent her way.

I'd say that orginization is pretty good, However I was once sent someone who wasn't even deployed and had to have that changed.

Back together soon! (and hopefully I wont look like crap the next time we take a picture )
