Final care package HELP please

What did you send for your last care package? I was thinking it should be look at all the things he has to look forward to when he gets home some how showing all the little things that make us "us" and "our family". Any idea how i should go about that? and any other ideas would be great. tia

If you haven't done it already, you should do the "day at home with us" theme. Where you take pictures of you doing everyday things and telling a story like "First when you come home, we'll be doing this. Then this, then this, yada yada" and take pics of you doing it all. I hope you know which one I'm talking about, I'm horrible at explaining things . It's in the thread about themed care packages if not. Hope that helped a little.

Im going to just put some of my DH's favorite stuff. Like favorite foods. And some pictures of all the stuff I have waiting for him at home. Like all his favorite foods, drinks, etc. I don't guess its very exciting but Im sure they will enjoy knowing you have all their favorites waiting for him at home!

From the beginning of this deployment(our first) I have sent out envelopes with the numbers starting at day 1 and counting up, and every month he receives 30 more days. Contained in the envelopes are an index card with a saying on one side and a personal note on the other, just to remind my DB that I am with him everyday. His only rule is he is only allowed to open one a day, and well he loves it! :-)

Since starting this between us and only he will truly know his return home date, I will be sending the last 15 or so days envelopes with numbers 15-0, like as a countdown. The envelopes will contain a picture of me holding the numbers counting down the days, with day 0 being the number, because he will be seeing me that day. Also on a more personal level I will be including hints to what we will be doing the day he gets home, like taking him to his favorite restaurant, seeing that special place we met, etc.. 15 days prior to being home he is allowed to open the 15th envelope and one every day thereafter. I know that my DB will love it and maybe so yours as well..
