Thanksgiving care package ideas
Well, DF got his Halloween care package a couple days ago and he loved it! (hehe) That's all I hear about... now it's time to come up with ideas for Thanksgiving... does anyone have any ideas of what I can send?? - I've been racking my brain for days now and I cant come up with anything different, fun and exciting...

I got my hubby one of those photo plates for him to eat Thanksgiving dinner on. We had them made beforehand and sent them on the boat to be handed out on Thanksgiving. We also made placemats with photos on them and such. I'm making my dh a home video DVD of everyone when i go home for turkey dinner...everyone will say hi, but he won't get it till after. Um...turkey jerky, um...I try to think up more.

You should make him a pilgrim hat and a chief's headdress so he can choose which to wear.
![]() We did that in 1st grade and it was so cute. ![]() Themed plates and napkins too! Oh and you can send stuffing mix, all he has to do is add boiled water. You could send a jar of gravy or a packet, and instant mashed potatoes too. Actually I'm not sure if you can send food or not, but if you can it makes a lot more room for creativity. Go to the Dollar Store and see if they have any Thanksgiving knicknacks and throw one of those in there too. |

some leaves from your yard or your favorite park, Pumpkin seeds, autumn color candy, harvest spice deodorizer, small scarecrow, themed boxers, Ocean Spray Craisins, Spice Cake in a jar, Thanksgiving turkey cookies.

Dried Thanksgiving Dinner sounds like a good idea.... turkey jerky, instant mashed potatoes, the box dried stuffing (like she said before), a can of green beans or peas, some dried onions to go on top (none of these things will spoil), cookies, record a football game and burn it on a disc or something like that... he might be able to watch "thanksgiving football" if he can find a computer or DVD player or something. Hand turkeys, pinecone turkeys, the hat idea like before, decorate the box all fallish, the cranberry stuff is a good idea as well.... make some cookies in the shapes of leaves, turkeys, pilgrims, and so on. Maybe some pics of Thanksgiving festivities last year to be followed by pictures and well wishes from this year in the Christmas package.
Have you ever done one of the Thanksgiving donation drives where you fill up a bag with all the items needed for a Thanksgiving dinner?? It's all non-perishable, except the turkey they get at the end... maybe think about something like that.
