post office - Care Packages

So I went on the post office site (usps.com) and found this info: Thought it might be useful, my boxes came in the mail this week.

"The U.S. Postal Service introduced a Military Care Kit, or "Mili-kit" in 2004 to make it easier for military families and friends to send care packages to their loved ones stationed overseas. Since the inception of the Military Care Kit, the U.S. Postal Service has shipped more than 150,000 kits. Each kit contains two Priority Mail boxes, six Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, eight Priority Mail labels, one roll of Priority Mail tape and eight customs forms with envelopes.

This kit may be ordered by calling the USPS Expedited Package Supply Center at 1-800-610-8734. There is no charge for the kit. The Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes included in the kit can be shipped to any APO/FPO in the world, regardless of weight, for $8.10."

You can go to usps.com and order free shipping supplies. The military pack is convienent because everything comes in one pack, but if you find a certain size box you like, just order that one from their website.

Yep I've been looking all over for that number. I used it awhile back and someone asked me for it and I couldn't find it

I'm not positive, but I think that the price is a little off....I think it's actually $8.95. Not that that's a big difference, just adding my contribution.

It is definitely $8.95...just mailed a package a couple days ago.

We did that for my best friends dh who was deployed & it was wonderful
