is there a way to know if your care package has gotten to your SO - Care Packages

i sent a care package to my DF like a month ago, and he says he still hasent gotten it, is there a way i can find out where it is? or anything idk if its on the base or if it got lost some place?

Did you have a confirmation # placed on it?? so you could trace it??

unfortunately you can't track packages sent overseas...if he just got there, it may take a while to get sorted out...i know it did for DF...i've sent dozens of packages and so far they've all arrived eventually!

From what I understand, once it leaves the states its no longer handles by usps, its handled by the military...so u cant track it

huh. all I know is they go to some central hub, than are mailed from there. maybe it's sitting in the central hub? but, normally about the 3/4 week mark it should arrive....

Not once it reaches New York. I reccomend insuring everything. And send it far far in advance. It took 5 weeks for a package to get here last christmas

It may be too late for this package you sent, but when I was at the post office today the guy said I could buy a confirmation tracking number for 65 cents even when the package is going international! I didn't know you could do that, so I'm going to try it from now on.

I don't know if you can track it, but I do know I've had a couple of packages returned on various deployments for whatever reason. They have us put the company's mailing address for the return address, I just take the POA to rear d to pick it up. They don't call and tell you it's there though, I've just gone and checked when it's been a month or so and he hasn't gotten it.
