"Duram Atta" Flour?
I really want to try this recipe
http://veganyumyum.com/2007/11/aloo-parathas/ but I don't feel like ordering the special flour offline. Has anyone made anything similar with regular store bought flour, or know if that would even work?

Hi! You really don't have to order this flour online. Most cities have an Indian grocery store that will have plenty of it in stock. My husband is Indian and we make mostly Indian dishes in our house. Good luck with the recipe!

I've read that you can substitute Durum Atta for 100% whole wheat flour.
Like the previous poster mentioned, you don't have to order it online. Also check your local grocery store's international foods aisle and even the commi. Google Indian grocery stores in your area.

I also just remembered the commi can do special orders, but I'm also gonna check the "health food" store since I remember them having a bunch of different bins of flour and spices and they might have something like that.
