Healthy Banana Bread
Last night I was looking online for a healthier version of banana bread. I found one and tweaked it a bit and it turned out delicious! The applesauce subsitutues for the oil and splenda obviously takes the place of sugar. I have never baked with a sugar subsitute but it tasted truly delicious
![]() Side Note: I used homemade cinnnamon applesauce sweetened with splenda. If you have unsweet, I suggest upping the Splenda to your taste, possibly from a third to a half, and adding some cinnamon for flavor. Would be GREAT with vanilla extract, also! 1 1/2 cups flour 1 1/2 cups mashed banana 1/4 cup applesauce 1/3 cup splenda 2 beaten egg whites 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp baking powder Mix dry ingredients together, mix wet together. Add wet to dry, mix with your muscles until incorporated (batter will be lumpy), dump in a very well greased pan and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Enjoy
