I am sitting outside in shorts right now. We had a few cold days here in Savannah last week. Sadly cold was 50 degrees. Hallmark is already showing its Christmas movies for the season and I'm a sucker for Christmas movies so I have been watching them non stop. It makes me wish for snow! But just once and not a lot of it.

You have not lived until you’ve gone swimming in your clothes on Christmas Day.

I found the winter Christmas...oddly claustrophobic. It was dark so early, and so difficult to justify going outside. Cosy, but in many ways it felt small.

It was cold for like, two seconds and now it's back to warm.

It's snowed in the mountains here in Utah but not in the valley yet!

Summer Christmas is wonderful. It’s warm, it doesn’t get dark for hours, everything smells of flowers, kids can go straight outside to play with their new toys...I was always given firecrackers to play with.
Kids do that in the winter too!

My friend lives in Olympia area. She posted some pictures. We only got 1 snow when we lived in Puyallup. It lasted a couple of hours. And then was gone. When we lived further south in the foothills of Mt. Rainier it never snowed. Lots of ice. But no snow.

Wait... why do you go swimming in your clothes?

Nope, it was cold for a few days and now it's in the 70's.

DH: Thank you. ME: For what, babe? DH: For being you.

Oh, it’s great. Christmas carols make no sense in summer (we have some replacements...who wants to learn?) but it’s great.

Because you can? Also, at least the year before last, because my husband threw me in.
