    Solar Eclipse 2017

Who's going to watch the solar eclipse today? Who's in the path of totality? Who's a procrastinator and is going to hunt for last minute eclipse glasses (good luck!)?

We're supposed to get 94% coverage here buuuut... with a possible chance of rain at that time

I didn't think I was going to have the day off so I didn't buy glasses Our library will be handing them out soon so wish me luck! haha

We are in the ~70% totality zone. DB traveled to South Carolina to be in the path and they are heading to TN this morning because of the cloud cover in the upstate. I have glasses, and I was able to locate a few for DB before he left. But it wasn't easy!

It's 81% here. Work is having a watch party in the parking lot during the maximum coverage time. It should be fun!

We're close to totality, but they're predicting a lot of cloud coverage at the time I'm not getting my hopes up. I've seen a ton of partial solar eclipses anyway, so I'm not too upset.

We're like 83% or something? I'll probably go take a quick glance maybe but I don't have glasses and I don't wanna ruin my eyes lol. My bf is super lucky, he's right in the path of totality rn where he's working so they all have glasses and they're gonna chill on a mountain and watch.

Oh cool! I wanted to drive to western NC or Charleston, but after hearing about the traffic jams the eclipse will cause and how hotels and camp grounds jacked up their prices I gave up.

Make sure they're not fakes (you shouldn't see any light but the ball of the sun). A guy on our base was selling hundreds of fakes.
