    Next year is my mom's 60th birthday. I want to throw a big party for her, but I don't have any siblings to share the cots
    I'll still do something, but it won't be as elaborate as it could have been.

    So, do your children a favor, and have more than one kid

    You could talk to the rest of the family and ask if they'd be willing to pitch in. I think that it's really sweet of you. I know that my brother & I will not throw a huge party for our mom, ever.
