There's a twist on this "where would you live" scenario--

[COMPLETELY ignore the job market, you have an income of $500K/year, you can fast-forward to married with kids or stay where you are in life]

If you could live anywhere in the United States and its territories, where would you live? I am, like, obsessed with Alaska. I can't decide between the southern coast, down by the Aleutians, and up in Anchorage, but I would LOVELOVELOVE to live there. I always peruse houses for sale up there on Zillow and dream

The MOUNTAINS! All of the sports and exploring! The rough, beautiful, wild frontier is RIGHT there. All of the animal life, gorgeous greenery, the clear, cold water. It's all just incredible. I know that we'll probably end up settling down in Colorado, but I would LOVE to do at least a few year stint in Alaska. It's on my bucket list!

Out of all the places I've been to (I've only lived in Washington and Ohio, so this is just going off visits ) I would pick North or South Carolina. When I would drive to see DH during AIT they were my two favorite states to go through. There's a little lake town/area in North Carolina that was my absolute favorite part of my drive, it looked both peaceful and fun, and I think I would go there if we could

If we were making that much money, I'd want one of the on-the-water, gorgeous houses in Charleston, SC. Anyone who's been there should know what I'm talking about - the row with all the beautiful pastel houses. Seriously love the weather, the location, everything and it's close enough to mountains for a day's drive, long day in driving to get to Orlando and my in-laws would have to fly which means less of them
