With the way things are going, it looks like I will be getting laid off here in the next year or so.... i've always wanted to join, but having my son now is a HUGE factor. Curious what other people would do.

I wouldn't for no other reason than I couldn't hack it. I would not be able to handle not only the physical, but the mental aspects of being in the military

That and I don't think I could leave my son. I love being a SAHM.

Hell no. But that's mostly because there's absolutely no way I would be joining the military in the first place.

Hell to the NO. I would never do a job where I HAVE to do so many years. I would never do a job where they have such absolute control over my life. Thank you but no.

I wanted to join the Navy before I met DH so yes. But because of DS, I wouldn't be comfortable with it.

We had this option when we first got together. He was active duty Navy and I had just gone through four years of Air Force ROTC and was commissioning in a few months. We would not have been able to "colocate" or be stationed near enough to each other to live together. That wasn't acceptable to us, so we knew one of us would get out-- we talked it through and I offered to get out, which is what happened. Now he's active duty still and I'm a civilian and I wouldn't have it any other way

i could do it! i've thought about it but my husband said before i married him he would never marry mil to mil so i don't think he'd like it.

i'd want to be an aerial gunner, boom operator, or flight attendant.

Think my answer has more to do with the fact that I'm a pacifist more than anything else lol. But if you think that it's something for you then go for it!! When it comes toy you're child I'm sure that things can be worked out so that they are not left alone without at least one parent home
