    Suspicious Credit card charge, but no merchandise

    I went to Value City & decided to buy a patio set based on 3 things:
    1- Great price
    2- Same day/instant pick-up
    3- Came in flat boxes

    I paid, went to the back to get loaded & was laughed at and talked down to, "honey" 'ed and sent away without my patio set.

    Jerks

    Whatevs, call the store to confirm I can come back right, was told "sure! Up till 8pm"

    Yay! I head back with my neighbor and his truck, I was told computers were down in shipping so I would have to come back the next day...



    WTF. I went back today to get my money back since I would not have access to a truck again and was not paying their ignorant store $110 for a delivery 3.4 miles down the road. Computer was down a again So now I have to go back, another day, again.

    Here I am...a charge on my card with no furniture.

    I'm not even upset...just super bummed. Yeah, if I have to go back I'll have to call and make sure their system is up...hopefully I can do it over the phone. The employees there are super nasty!

    I'm sorry! I accidentally placed an order for a carseat ($300 carseat) the other day, then immediately called to cancel the order, was told that it was cancelled, and then a few days later the carseat was delivered to my house. It doesn't FIT in my car (the reason I cancelled it), so I have a useless $300 carseat sitting in my living room until the company has UPS come pick it back up from me

    So irritating. Sorry to vent in your vent

    I'm sorry, i re-read my comment and it sounded super snarky That was not at all intended.

    I really dislike Valuecity and Biglots because of the attitudes and lack of organization. No matter where I am at, its always the same.

    I hope you can find a patio set you like

    So sorry to hear that. Most CC company lets you dispute the charges. If you have your receipt, I suggest you take it up with the manager and/or call customer service.

    Whenever something is going wrong, I take down the names of the people I associated with, their employee ID if they will provide them (if not I go to the manager), and dates. If things are still going horribly, I call the customer service line and things normally get resolved right away or I get a "Sorry I don't know why you were treated that way. We'll refund you right away. You'll see the refund on your statement within 3-5 days." Good luck!
