So i'm trying to study, and then my mom messages me on facebook chat...

Mom: "You should apply to be on The Bachelor!!"
    Me: "Omg...no. lol"
Mom: "I will send your info in."
    Me: "You better not!"
    Mom: "I'm going to..."
    Me: "Mom!"
Mom: "Oh I can just see how compliant with all the shit you would be. Lol. With your luck you will have to play a sport or something!"
    Me: "Gee thanks mom."
Mom: "I will make sure your bachelor doesn't look like Ben. I will hand pick the guy. Someone more like Channing Tatum or Tom Hardy, but taller so you can wear heels."

please tell me i'm not the only one with a mother like this!

Back in 98, I had a house fire. I lost everything I ever had and the first thing my mother said to me? "Go see if you can find something nice to wear of the neighbors in case one of these fire fighters are single." Really mom? I just lost everything I ever owned and you're trying to get me a date? (Don't get me wrong, her heart was in the right place just not the right time, obviously lol)

DH: Thank you. ME: For what, babe? DH: For being you.

That is definitely something my mom would say!
She went to my brother-in-law's birthday party this past weekend and she was trying to set me up with a guy there!

I've had a similar convo with my mom too.
