I think there was a bug...

...in my soup. I think I just chewed on it. I chewed on something that didn't seem like it was supposed to be in there, and pulled what looked like the back and leg of a beetle out of my mouth
    well, I'm not hungry anymore...
Maybe it was a grain...but it's lentil soup...?

Well, I guess a lot of cultures eat bugs on purpose... So I guess it could be worse

This wasn't intentional, it was Chinese food.

Protein! It's protein, I tell you!

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't be eating there again. I went to Golden Corral and there were big white worms on my broccoli. I told the manager and they tried giving me a gift card. Like I wanted to eat there again! I hope your mom got compensated a little better!

Oh-and the other culture thing was just an afterthought I had. I meant people that eat fried tarantulas and scorpion kabobs and stuff. Eww.

I can see where crispy scorpions are exciting, if it's a conscious decision. But a surprise?

    No compensation.

I found an orange caterpillar in my salad and they offered me more salad . I should have asked for a refund.

    I'm sorry, OP. Uck!

DH's family took me out to dinner, I ordered a salad. Near the very end of the bowl, I found a fly. A common ordinary house fly. I was nearly done anyway. I wasn't sure how his family would react & not even sure what I should do. I showed the waitress and she sent the manager over. They wanted to give me a free dessert!
    FAIL!
