    Hey Texas Ladies!

    Advertisements
Question for you If you were working at the San Antonio Zoo but not wanting to live in San Antonio where would you go? Willing to commute as far as 45 minutes and looking for more country. Wanting to even purchase some land, a good 4 or 5 acres.

    Thank you for your help

We want to move away from the city We want land and a ranch and much more breathing room.

ETA: If there are places like this there that are very very open definitely fill me in. I am literally clueless!

What are you looking for, other than a lot of land? What are your priorities?

How far from a large city?
Primarily farming, or raising animals? Or just want the land?
Is climate important? (I noticed you posted a Montana thread earlier, as well.)

45 minutes from the San Antonio Zoo area. We would love to own a small horse farm maybe room for a few other animals. I don't know how Texas works but here when you go from like no snow to snow its quite a climb up the mountain and no we are not wanting that at all since I would be commuting daily. Wouldn't be wanting a difficult drive.

There are tons of little towns around San Antonio!

New Braunfels, San Marcos [although there is a major college there] are a few of the bigger ones. I have family that used to live in Bandera. I know they owned some land out there and from what I remember it was pretty!

I'm not exactly sure how far exactly all of these are. I just know they are around San Antonio. Commute will definitely depend on traffic and with Texas, you never know. I think your best bet is to drive around towns near San Antonio if you can and just see what you like. Most little towns in Texas have a little "downtown" area that is pretty cute
