...squirt cheese have to be refrigerated? I am eating Cheddar & Bacon Easy Cheese and it says "no need to refrigerate" but then it says made with real cheese and pasteurized cheese snack? Hmm...does anyone know?

Because it's under so much pressure. Squirt cheese actually can last for years and years and years.

Don't put it in the fridge, it will harden and won't come out of the nozzle.

It's full of preservatives and can live forever in it's little tiny cheese bomb shelter.

Here is what a friend of mine said,

"Hey buddy I have a question, why doesn't my squirt cheese need to be refrigerated?"

"Most to all cheeses and processed cheese products are derived from dairy and have at a minimum some heat sensitive bacteria that can result in spoiling if not kept in a temperature controlled environment."

"Oh lol goodness thanks Mr. Encyclopedia."

"Careful a question like that is just begging to let the nerd out of the cage..lol."

"I thought you were going to say because it isn't real cheese"

"No, they filter out the 'active ingredients' for lack of a better way of putting it and use artificial flavorings to reconstruct the taste."

I'm so excited you were choosing to siggy quote mine. I thought it was funny, but I didn't think anyone else noticed.
