    Question Dr offices... POLL

    Advertisements
Do you think walk in clinics should be open on the weekends so people don't have to go to the ER for things like a UTI and other minor things that can turn major if not treated soon?

Personally I will hold off going to the dr for things like a UTI until a walk in clinic opens and save myself the headache of going to the ER.

Some are, I know Urgent Care *used* to be open on weekends.

I also wouldn't go to the ER unless I couldn't take it anymore and needed some relief ASAP. I've taken DD to the ER a few times but mostly because it was the middle of the night and nothing I was doing was helping.

Most are, but for shorter hours....and usually the Dr.s are on call...if it's something more serious, you'll be sent to the ER anyway, so no, I don't think they should be open anymore than they are.....

However. I held off going to the doctor about a uti and the infection got so bad it went to my kidney's and i HAD to go to the ER because the pain was something I had never felt before. It's hard to get into my doctor's office and sometimes, you shouldn't wait a week to get the issue fixed. So I think they should be open.

I've gotten UTI's before and they sometimes get to the point where they're so bad that I need something but of course it's usually a Friday night, but I can usually just call my doctor's office and the doctor on call will phone me in something to a 24 hr pharamacy and then I go in on Monday for a follow up.
