    "Invisible Work"

    Advertisements
We all do it, we just don't know we do it.

It's those little things that I swear the husband thinks are just always done, or he thinks that little gnomes come into our house and do them. Things that don't get noticed, until they don't get done!!

I call it invisible work, and it consists of this -

    Folding socks
    Cleaning out the fridge
Cleaning out the lint trap in the dryer
Taking out the trash that's in the small trash cans
    Hanging uniforms
    Refilling the toilet paper

Add to the list - what do you feel is invisible work?

My husband refers to it as "The Laundry Fairy"
lol, or "The Dishes Fairy", or any of those other magical things that happen. He's normally pretty good about lending a hand but every once in a while the house fairies come out and get the job finished while he's not looking. (lol, me being the house fairy!)

My biggest invisible work load is filing, bills, etc. He never seems to notice that it is constant upkeep until he needs to find a warranty, some piece of paper for his service records, etc. And has no clue what an annoying chore it is!

okay, I'm not married anymore or with anyone at the moment but, when I was married the biggest invisible chore:

    anything with the kids

    cleaning their noses
    giving them baths
    feeding them
    homework
    dressing them
