driving age...
Ok, so I was flipping through the channels on tv and saw that show "my sweet 16" or something on. There was this girl from a wealthy family in Mississippi talking about how her Dad had bought her a brand new cadillac and she had already wrecked it. She said that in Mississippi they can drive alone at 15!! So, I thought I'd ask you all,
At what age can you get your license in the state you live in? and at what age do you think you should be able to get your license?

in GA when I got my license it was 16, now it's 16 if you take a driver's ed class or 17 if you don't... I agree with 16, and I think driver's ed class should be given to all high school freshmen free of charge

In Kansas you could get a farm permit at 14, a learners permit at 15 (must drive with someone 18 or older) and 16 is when you would get your regular license. BUT - a few years ago while I was working in the driver license office they were trying to change it so that you couldn't drive until you were 17 or 18. I'm not sure if that would be a good idea or not...

in indiana, you have to be 15 to get your permit and 16 to get your license. i think we may have the rule,too that if you don't take drivers ed, you have to wait till you are 17

it was 16 in Virginia when I was growing up. I waited till I was 19, kept my permit for 4 yrs. I was terrified to drive.
I really don't know what the age should be.
