Anyone into end of the world type books?

    Advertisements
I'm really into science fiction/ end of the world type books! Anyone else here that can recommend any? I am currently reading "The Twelve" which is the second novel after "The Passage." Its pretty good! I really read a lot of YA books rather then adult at this point and I'm almost 30. Lol anyways just seeing if anyone has the same interests in books!

Ah I remember reading that book a couple years ago! Another type of sci fi/end of the world series I liked was Ender's Game, which is YA. They did a movie a couple years back for it!

I did read The Fifth Wave series! I actually just finished the last book last week. I have not read Enders Game yet. I do like the future society type books too like Divergent, Match, etc.

I was on a huge dsytopian kick for a while, especially dsytopian YA. If you are looking for something a little different, IMO, than the average dsytopian story, check out The Dog Stars. It's dsytopian so it's sort of sad and desperate, but has a different tone. It's not really end of the world, just collapse of society as we know it, I guess.

Also, Wool. It's eleventy hundred pages long though.

I'll have to check out those villanelle! I think my love of these type books all started with The Giver! I recently read the few books that come after The Giver, which were ok. Anyone read the Last Survivor's series (life as we knew it)? Pretty good!

Totally seconding the Wool recommendation. Great read.

If you like Stephen King, The Stand is very long but it's good post-apocalyptic fiction. Also Cormac McCarthy's The Road is incredible.
