    What are you reading? 1/27/16

Hello ladies! I'm about halfway through my current book and I don't have anything lined up for my next book so that leaves me wondering what are you reading?? Should I read it next?

My current book (which likely won't last me through the day because it's hard to put down, I read the first half in about 5 hours last night) is called "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. It's about a teenager who committed suicide but before she did she recorded thirteen tapes with a specific list of people on them to tell them all how they impacted her and contributed to what she ultimately did. It's a super page turner and not overly depressing given the context. Like I said I can't put it down and will likely finish it today (probably less than 24hours after starting).

I finished "Dark Places" by Gillian Flynn yesterday and LOOOOOVED it! I also really loved "Gone Girl" so I might try some more Gillian Flynn after my current book but I'm still curious what everyone else is reading!

I just finished the book Room by Emma Donoghue.

It's the book that the new movie is based off of. I loved it so much! It's told by the five year old boy's point of view, which was unexpected and really cool.

ETA: I read the book Thirteen Reasons Why last year and liked it a lot.

I read Thirteen Reasons Why a while back and I liked it as well as Dark Places. Gillian Flynn is a master at playing with my emotions lmao! Right now I'm reading The Infinite Sea which is part 2 to the 5th Wave series. I'm alternating between books from the Legend series and 5th Wave.

I am currently listening to World Without End by Ken Follett. Is the sequel to his Pillars of the Earth novel.

Is the 5th wave series related to the 5th wave movie that's out (or coming out)? DH wants to see it and talks about it all the time...

I'm currently reading The Hundred Year Walk for my book club. I think it's good but it's hard to read as its a personal account of genocide.

Tons of academic journals on youth violence and gang involvement for my current research project. I'm actually finding the information really interesting.
