Hello Preparing for "52 Books in 52" Weeks 2013!

    Advertisements
I have never tried to do the "52 Books in 52 Weeks" thing before, but after winning NaNoWriMo my first year trying it, I want to do something awesome next year!

So, I need your help. Suggest some good books for me pretty please!! I will love you forever! I would love to have a good solid list to start the year off with and then I can just add some new releases as the year goes on depending on what comes out.

    Thanks in advance!

Anything really, as long as it's well written. I am not big into historical fiction, I do tend to lean more towards sci-fi and fantasy, I guess. I loved The Hunger Games trilogy, LotR and The Hobbit, The Hitchhiker's Guide (anything Douglas Adams really), Sookie Stackhouse books, Harry Potter of course... I would love to branch out though!

If you love sci-fi & fantasy, definitely read Name of the Wind.

    It's SO SO good

Definitely read Pure by Julianna Baggot. I'm not finished with it yet but it's really good. Kind of reminiscent of Hunger Games in that it's the world after the apocolypse. It's SOOOOO good and it's going to be a series. The next one comes out early 2013, I believe.

It's like social media for nerdy bookworms, like me. Jamie Borden Bentley - The United States (464 books)

I find its a really good way to find new things to read. Do you like Dean Koontz? I really like the Odd Thomas series. And if you like dogs, The Watchers is science-y.

Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shytengart. Dystopian and a little wacky but very good.

A Song of Ice and Fire series, definitely.

One of my favorite books is How I Paid For College by Marc Acito. It's about high school theatre kids in NY/NJ in the 80s. Hilarious.
