I have read so many good books this year. But my top picks so far would have to be :

Yellow Crocus for sure. I absolutely loved this book.

Then there was : The fault in our stars, A lineage of Grace and the Birthmarked series that were also really really awesome.

Probably Ready Player One was my favorite of the year.

The Hunger Games series. Definitely the best I've read this year, although I technically read the first book last year, as in 2011, but I finished the series in January, so I'm counting it.

    Best: Ender's Game. Definitely.

Luscious Lemon was good, too. It's about a woman who miscarries, though. So, I don't think it would be a good read for everyone.

Biggest "whoa factor"/surprise ending: Defending Jacob. I read that book back in August, I think, and I'm still in shock with how it ended.

Age of Miracles was excellent :-) I'm working on JK Rowling's The Casual Vacancy right now... and I'm ashamed to say I haven't found time to pick it up in the last week. :-(

I really got sucked in to Kim Harrison's Hollows series books. They were great!

The best book I have read so far this year was the Red Queen by Philippa Gregory. I also read The Queen's Fool and White Queen. They take a while to read but are very interesting. The Red Queen and White Queen explain what happened to each side the queen was on during their time.

There's another in the series now, The Kingmaker's Daughter. It's pretty good, too
