I need a real page turner! So what is the best book you have ever read? Not really sure what I feel like reading, so I'm open to all suggestions.

    Have at it!

    Thanks everyone!

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is a real page turner. It's hard to describe, but it's a mix of old books and mystery and dark libraries.

If you like short stories, Last Evenings on Earth by Roberto Bolaño is very good.

And some other recent page turners for me:
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett (retelling of Heart of Darkness).
    The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins
Reading George Orwell in Burma by Emma Larkin (nonfiction)
    Bonsai by Alejandro Zambra

The most amazing fantasy book I've read in...a long time: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Hardcore fantasy, ye olde times, really intense but amazing: Game of Thrones series (although I have to worn you, you will be very mad when you finish the fifth cause the sixth isn't coming out for another 2 years) (and they're really long)

If you like historical fiction: A Conspiracy of Paper by David Liss or The Dante Club by Michael Pearl

And, of course, if you haven't read them, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (aka Millennium Trilogy) by Steig Larsson.
I know they're both sooo in right now, but really, they're amazing reads. Especially Millennium Trilogy.

    The Uglies Series

I'm reading "Until Tuesday" by Fmr. Captain Luis Montalvan right now and I haven't put it down tonight! It's about an Army Captain who got a honorable discharge, has PTSD and other medical problems and his service dog.
