    New year, new thread. Right?

The basic idea is to read a book a week for a whole year. Last year I only ended up ready 21 books, hoping to do better this year.

    So far I've read:

    1. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
    2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
    2. Tithe by Holly Black

I won't be able to read that many especially with a baby on the way but i'm interested in keeping track. I'm going to count the book I just finished as one in 2012 because I don't think I was to far into it.

    1. Dead as a Doornail By Charaline Harris
    2. Definitely Dead By Charaline Harris
    3. All Together Dead By Charaline Harris
    4. Army Wives By Tanya Biank
    5. From Dead to Worse By Charaline Harris
    6. Dead and Gone By Charaline Harris
    7. Dead in the Family By Charaline Harris
    8. The Hunger Games By Suzanne Collins
    9. Dead Reckoning By Charaline Harris
    10. The Vow By Kim & Krickitt Carpenter
    11. Catching Fire By Suzanne Collins
    12. Mockingjay By Suzanne Collins
    13. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner By Stephanie Meyer
    14. Deadlocked By Charaline Harris
    15. Fifty Shades of Grey By E L James
    16. Fifty Shades Darker By E L James
    17. Fifty Shades Freed By E L James
    18. Gone Girl By Gillian Flynn
    19. Divergent By Veronica Roth
    20. Vanishing Acts By Jodi Picoult

Am trying to finish my first book, Helmet For My Pillow. Hunger Games is definitely on my list, but only have first book which is my daughter's. Want to get second and third books so I can read them back to back.

They're great! I'm rereading them, but I'm not doing it back to back. I'm actually just starting on a different author because I want to read all his works before he comes to town. So that's 3 books in the next few weeks.

52 books in a year isn't realistic for me, but I would love to read at least 20.

So far, I have finished one and started a second.

    1. The Litigators, by John Grisham

I finished 2011 with 93 books and abotu 30,000 pages. For 2012, I've set a page goal, rather than a book goal, so that if I read some super long books, it doesn't slow me down. I'm trying for 35,000, which is probably about 95-100 books.

I'm doing something with a friend right now where she got to pick some books for me and I for her, so she's forced me to read romance. I've always been a snob about romance novels (which is why she made me read them) but it turns out I am enjoying them. I'm reading the Hathaway series. Author is Lisa Kleypas (not sure about that spelling).
